Review: Hank’s Oyster Bar, Washington, DC
Seafood = life, and now that we all agree, let’s talk about Hank’s Oyster Bar in Washington, DC.
I was back home a couple weeks ago, and – per usual – one of my best girlfriends and I deliberated for days about where we should go planned a dinner date. Even though I was born and raised in the DC-area, and lived in DC-proper for three years before business school, I’d never been to Hank’s Oyster Bar. But people are really into it, and she swore it was really good, and life is for living, so OFF WE WENT.
I will say that it doesn’t take too much to excite me when it comes to seafood, but that this was ESPECIALLY good, and obviously I’m recommending it since I’m posting about it on Things I’m Thinking.
We were at the Dupont Circle location and ordered off of the Three-Course Pre-Theater menu, which is served daily from 5:30pm-6:30pm, and is $32/person. (Plans to attend the theater immediately thereafter are not required.)
Also, because my friend and I are extremely well-rounded and have such refined palates, everything from the Three-Course Pre-Theater menu is pictured below! (With the exception of the three local oysters appetizer.)
Highly recommend if you’re ever in DC, or if you live in DC and somehow managed to never give this place a try (like me). Happy eating!
